Must Have Items To Pack For A Cruise

• 🚢 ESSENTIAL TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
  • ⚓ Passport or approved ID (depending on your cruise itinerary).
  • ⚓ Cruise Documents , boarding passes and luggage tags.
  • ⚓ Travel insurance information.
  • ⚓ Any health documents such as Covid -19 vaccination records that may be required.
  • ⚓ Credit cards and cash for port days. Remember, the ship is cashless and everything goes on your Sail & Sign card while onboard.

• 👗 APPROPRIATE CLOTHING
  • 👓 Swimwear, I recommend bringing at least 2 swimsuits so you always have a dry one.
  • 👓 Swim cover ups for walking around the ship or port.
  • 👓 Casual daytime wear such as shorts, tanks and sundresses.
  • 👓 Dressy dinner attire if your cruise has a formal night or if you need to dress a little more nicely to go to the dining room in the evenings.
  • 👓 Lightweight jacket or sweater for cool evenings.
  • 👓 Warm pants and tops if your itinerary may involve some colder days enroute to a warmer destination.
  • 👓 Appropriate clothing & foot wear for any shore excursions that might involve hiking or other more strenuous activities.

I strongly advise becoming familiar with the laundry situation on board before you go, especially if you are going on a cruise longer than 7 days. This could impact how much you need to pack. Most ships have self-serve laundry rooms and a laundry service where the staff will do laundry for you. Find out the availability of these services and the costs involved when you decide how much you need to pack.

It is also a good idea to familiarize yourself with dining room dress codes and find out whether there are formal nights on board so you can pack accordingly. Of course, if you are all about that casual and relaxed vibe, these are things you do not have to participate in. There are plenty of other food options available.

  • 👡 Water shoes for beach days and water excursions.
  • 👡 Closes toed shoes such as sneakers if you anticipate colder weather on some of your At Sea days.

• 💊 Medications ,Toiletries & Sun Protection
  • 💦 Prescription medications.
  • 💦 Motion sickness remedies.
  • 💦 Pain relievers, antacids, allergy meds, itch relieving creams for the skin and cold medicines. Believe me, if you need any of these items and have to buy them on board you will have a limited selection and very inflated prices.
  • 💦 A small first aid kit with band-aids, anti-septic wipes and Neosporin.
  • 💦 All needed toiletries such as toothbrush & toothpaste, body wash, lotion, razors, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner. Keep in mind that some cruise lines provide some of these things but you may prefer your own.
  • 💦 High SPF sunscreen, aloe gel, after sun lotion, sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat

• 😎 Some Odds and Ends and Some Cruise Specific Goodies.
  • 🌞 Phone and phone charger.
  • 🌞 Towel clips to keep your towel on your lounge chair.
  • 🌞 Magnetic hooks for hanging things on the walls in your cabin, (they are metal…who knew?)
  • 🌞 Lanyard for your cruise/card key. They always have super cute ones you can buy onboard that are not expensive.
  • 🌞 Reusable water bottles and water enhancers such as Mio or Crystal Light. This will help cut down a little on the money spent for drinks on the ship.
  • 🌞 Laundry refreshing products such as Downey Wrinkle Release spray, Tide pens and Febreeze Fabric Refresher spray.
  • 🌞 Laundry bag. I just bring a garbage bag from home. It does the job and it is one less thing you have to purchase.
  • 🌞 Small day bag for excursions so you don’t have to lug around anymore than you have to.
  • 🌞 Some of your favorite snacks to have on hand in your cabin for late night munchies.
